Alkaline Diet Recipe: Summer Berry Smoothie

Last time, I shared the A-Z of how to get off your acid, with 26 tips to get alkaline easily. Today, I’ve got a smoothie recipe that hits quite a few of the tips, including S for Smoothies of course. This is perfect for this time of year when berries are ripe and local. Plus, it delivers a nutrient-packed serving of raw greens, good fats in the form of chia seeds and coconut water, and tons of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Plus, you know it’s going to be delicious! What we’ll usually do is buy a big batch of organic berries when they are in season and whatever we don’t use right away, we freeze to use throughout the year. Give it a try and let me know what you think over on Facebook. SUMMER BERRY SMOOTHIE INGREDIENTS [Serves 1] 1 large handful spinach ½ cup mixed berries (i.e. frozen blueberries) 1/2 banana (frozen) 1 lime, freshly squeezed 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tbsp. coconut oil 1 tbsp. chia seeds 1 cup coconut water DIRECTIONS Blend and enjoy!
