Kid-Loving “Cookie” Balls

These “cookie balls” have become my best hack ever for smuggling protein, brain nutrients, gut health, and healthy fats into my kids.

They taste like cookie-dough but are actually sneaky balls of some of the most nutrient-dense ingredients on the planet! Chia seeds, hemp seeds, coconut oil, Gut Punch, and Acid-Kicking Plant-Based Protein!

All of these combined give you and your kids/teens optimal brain and gut health!

Pack them in lunches, pre- and post-practice snacks, afternoon power-ups, and whenever you and your kids want a little treat!

Ingredients

  • 3 scoops of Gut Punch
  • 2 scoops of Acid-Kicking Plant-Based Protein (I use Chocolate)
  • 2 cups of organic oats or flaxseed meal
  • ½ cup of organic chia seeds
  • ½ cup of organic hemp seeds
  • 1 cup of melted organic coconut oil
  • 1 cup of an organic nut butter
  • 1.5 bananas, chopped

    Optional:
  • Organic chocolate chips
  • Organic coconut shreds
  • Local honey

This will give you about 12 cookie balls; feel free to adjust for your needs.

Directions:

  1. Have your littles and bigs help you dump everything into a bowl. Even though this is extra work, it provides a moment together and develops healthy habits and traditions that will stay with them for life!
  2. Mix it all together, and chop up the bananas more if needed.
  3. Add more melted coconut oil if needed to bind everything together. The more coconut oil, the better, because it prevents the cookies from tasting dry.
  4. Make little balls with your hands and place them on a plate.
  5. Put the balls in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
  6. Place them in an air-tight container for storage.

Get creative with these! Try different nut butters and seeds, and sweeten them up (and break the endless cycle of sick kids) with local honey.

Test out Chocolate vs. Vanilla Acid-Kicking Plant-Based Protein and try adding in Acid-Kicking Coffee Alkalizer: Hazelnut or Vanilla.

I love finding creative ways to pack my kids and me with nutrients, and Alkamind makes it so easy!
