Why I Designed Acid-Kicking Daily Minerals the Way I Did
For years, we’ve been told that salt (including sodium and minerals) is bad for us. But that statement is dangerously incomplete.
Because the truth is this: there are salts that HEAL…and there are salts that harm.
Refined table salt—the kind hiding in processed foods and sports drinks—has been stripped of its natural minerals. What’s left is a highly processed compound that can contribute to dehydration, inflammation, and metabolic stress.
But mineral salts are completely different.
When your body receives the right minerals in the right forms, they help:
- Neutralize excess acid
- Support hydration
- Restore balance at the cellular level
- Slow down the aging process
- Protect you from toxins
- Remove brain fog
- Decrease acid reflux
That’s exactly why I formulated Acid-Kicking Minerals: a targeted blend of alkalizing minerals, including vitamin C, calcium, magnesium, sodium, and potassium, designed for optimal health. Because your body literally runs on minerals—get all the details here.
The Mineral System That Removes Acid From the Body
Your body naturally produces acids every day through metabolism, diet, stress, and environmental toxins. To prevent this acid from damaging tissues, your body relies on a buffering system that relies on bicarbonate and mineral salts (which are in Acid-Kicking Minerals).
Bicarbonate combines with minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, and sodium to escort acids out of the body.
When these minerals are depleted, the buffering system weakens, and acid can begin to accumulate. This imbalance contributes to problems like reflux, fatigue, and inflammation.
This is why mineral-rich hydration plays such an important role in overall health. Unfortunately, most popular “sports drinks” do the exact opposite. Click here to uncover what is actually in Gatorade and why many of the ingredients are banned in Europe. Many contain high levels of sugar, artificial colors, and processed sodium chloride, with very little of the beneficial minerals your body actually needs.
Long story short: Your cells don’t just need water—they need MINERALS for optimal health.
My Strategy Behind Each Ingredient
I designed this formula around five key ingredients that support the body’s pH balance and hydration.
Vitamin C

Vitamin C plays a critical role in immune function, cellular repair, and antioxidant protection. It helps protect cells from oxidative stress while supporting tissue healing and detoxification.
When combined with alkalizing minerals, vitamin C creates a powerful environment for cellular resilience and recovery.
Calcium Citrate
Calcium is essential not only for bone strength but also for pH buffering and muscle function.
I chose calcium citrate because it is highly absorbable and gentle on digestion. It helps support mineral balance while assisting the body in neutralizing excess acidity (which can lead to reflux and endless other issues).
Magnesium Glycinate
Magnesium is one of the most important minerals in the body and one of the most common deficiencies.
It supports over 300 biochemical reactions, including nerve function, muscle relaxation, sleep quality, and digestion.
The form matters. I included magnesium glycinate, a chelated form bound to an amino acid, which improves absorption and bioavailability. This helps your body actually use the magnesium you consume, rather than losing it through poor absorption.
Sodium Bicarbonate
Sodium bicarbonate is a powerful buffering mineral that helps neutralize acid and support digestive comfort.
Unlike refined table salt, sodium bicarbonate contains only about 28% sodium and functions very differently in the body. It actually supports the body’s natural pH buffering system and may soothe digestive irritation.
Potassium Bicarbonate
Potassium is one of the most important intracellular minerals for cellular hydration, nerve signaling, and electrolyte balance.
When paired with bicarbonate, potassium helps support acid neutralization while maintaining fluid balance inside cells. Together, sodium and potassium bicarbonate strengthen the mineral system that escorts excess acid out of the body.

Mineral Mocktails & More
Go on and make your optimally healthy life magical! Here are a few of the Acid-Kicking community’s favorite ways to enjoy Acid-Kicking Minerals.
- Mocktail style: Lemon Basil Mocktail or Ginger & Apple Fizz. Because drinking minerals in something to cheers about!
- Pink Milk: My Kiwi Strawberry version can turn milk (coconut, almond, cashew, and even organic cow milk) into “pink milk” that kids love. Serve warm and before bed, and enjoy a full night of deep sleep for you and your kids!
- My Ultimate Hydration Elixir. The ideal drink before hot yoga, a long day in the sun, sports, or just anytime you need a hydration boost. Click here for the recipe.
The Bottom Line: We ALL Need More Minerals
Modern life has created widespread mineral depletion.
Depleted soils, processed diets, stress, and environmental toxins mean many people are operating with far fewer minerals than their bodies actually need.
Which is why supplementing isn’t a luxury; it’s essential for health and happiness.
Bottoms up!
