Chocolate Mousse For Your Valentine

Reminder: Valentine’s Day is just over a week away! (You’re welcome).

Indulge in a tantalizing, decadent dessert that is just as sweet and lovely as your better half.

However, even though this treat is as creamy, rich, and chocolatey as it gets—it’s basically sugar and acid-free! And that will be our little secret. I guarantee they won’t even notice it’s made from avocado and other energizing and life-giving ingredients to prepare for whatever comes next…

Ingredients (Serves 2)

1 1⁄2 Hass avocados, peeled and pitted

2⁄3 cup coconut water, ideally raw

1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract

2 tablespoons raw cacao

3 dates, pitted (use 5 to make it a little sweeter)

1 1⁄2 teaspoons sea salt (Celtic Grey, Himalayan pink, or Redmond Real Salt)

Optional: Garnish with blueberries, raspberries, mint, or whatever your sweetie loves!

Directions

Combine all the ingredients in a blender, blend at high speed, and then serve. You can also refrigerate before serving to make a firm mousse.

If you want to make a fun fudgesicle Valentine's Day treat for your mini-mes, pour the mousse into ice pop molds and freeze for 30 minutes.

Give everyone around you a big hug and tell them how much you love them!

My devilishly good mousse also pairs well with red wine on Valentine’s Day.

Yep, I, the gut-health guy, still enjoy a glass or two on special occasions.

Just make sure to add Acid-Kicking Alcohol Alkalizer  to neutralize the acid so that you and your boo wake up feeling in love instead of in hangover hell.
