There is something about summer that makes me want to keep things simple. Less time in the kitchen, more time outside, and meals that feel beautiful without requiring hours of preparation.
This colorful berry bowl has become one of my favorite recipes to bring to summer gatherings because it checks every box. It takes less than five minutes to make, the entire family loves it, and it provides your body with nutrients that support energy, digestion, stable blood sugar, and even fat burning.
While the red, white, and blue colors make it especially perfect for the Fourth of July, this is one of those recipes I make all year long. It is beautiful enough for entertaining, easy enough for a busy weekday, and nourishing enough to enjoy for breakfast, dessert, or an afternoon snack.
As much as I love holiday traditions, I have learned that feeling good after the celebration matters just as much as enjoying it. A simple recipe like this helps bring balance to the table.

Why I Love This Combination
Most fruit platters leave you hungry an hour later because they are missing one important nutrient: healthy fat! When you pair berries with coconut butter, everything changes.
The healthy fats in coconut help slow the absorption of natural sugars, keeping blood sugar levels more stable and preventing the energy crash that often follows sweets. Healthy fats also help your body absorb important fat-soluble nutrients and support hormone health, metabolism, and fat burning.
In fact, the MCTs found naturally in coconut provide a quick source of fuel for the body and can help support energy production and fat metabolism. This is one of my favorite wellness habits. Never eat fruit alone when you can pair it with healthy fats.

The Power of Berries
Berries may be small, but they are some of nature's most powerful superfoods. Blueberries support brain health, strawberries provide vitamin C for collagen, healthy skin, and immunity; while raspberries deliver fiber that nourishes the gut and supports digestion.
Their vibrant red, blue, and purple colors come from antioxidants called polyphenols that help fight inflammation, protect your cells, and support healthy aging. During holidays and celebrations, when we often indulge a little more, these antioxidant-rich fruits help bring balance back to the body.
Don't Forget the Mint
Fresh mint does far more than add color. It helps support digestion, soothe occasional bloating, and provides a refreshing, cooling flavor that makes this simple bowl feel extra special.
Fat-Burning Berry Bowl Serves 8 in small cups
Ingredients: 4 cups mixed berries, 8 tablespoons organic coconut butter, 4 tablespoons chopped fresh mint.

Optional: Coconut flakes, chopped pistachios, or fresh lime zest. Directions: Place the berries in a serving bowl, drizzle with softened coconut butter, sprinkle with mint, add any toppings, gently toss, and serve.
One simple habit that has made a tremendous difference for me, especially during the summer months, is making sure I replenish my minerals every day. Heat, stress, exercise, travel, and even sugar can quickly deplete the minerals our bodies need to stay energized and balanced.
That is why I keep my Acid Kicking Minerals nearby. They help support hydration at the cellular level, neutralize excess acid, and often help curb the sugar cravings that can sneak in after holiday treats and indulgences. Sometimes what feels like a craving is actually your body asking for minerals.
Paired with nourishing foods like berries, healthy fats, and plenty of water, it is one of the simplest ways I support my energy, digestion, and overall well-being all summer long.
