ALKALINE DIET RECIPE: LEMON & TURMERIC WATER

 

 

Last time, I told you all about molecular hydrogen and how it can transform your water into an antioxidant machine.

Well if you don’t have a molecular hydrogen unit, you can still enjoy the detoxifying power of water if you add nature’s most potent detoxifier and anti-inflammatory, turmeric.

This drink is perfect for you after indulging a little too much, whether in acidic foods, sugar, or alcohol. It will reduce any inflammation and get you back to alkaline health.

Lemon & Turmeric Water

INGREDIENTS [Serves 1]

1/4 tsp. of turmeric powder (or 1-inch piece of fresh turmeric)
1 cup of lukewarm water
1/2 lemon juice, fresh squeezed
1/8 tsp. of liquid coconut nectar (you can substitute 1 date or 3-4 drops of organic liquid stevia)
Pinch of cinnamon

DIRECTIONS

Heat some water in a saucepan, add lemon juice, liquid coconut nectar, and turmeric, and stir. For best results, you should stir it constantly while you drink it, as the turmeric falls down to the bottom.

Notes – if you’re using a date as your sweetener, blend the date with the water FIRST, then add rest of ingredients and follow directions.

Also, if you’re using fresh turmeric as opposed to turmeric powder, blend the turmeric with the date first.
