My wife Chelsea and I get asked for our favorite product recommendations for maintaining a healthy lifestyle all the time.
There aren’t a lot of reliable sources out there when you want to get a good rebounder, for instance.
And between the products we love, and the crowd-sourced recommendations from our Get Off Your Acid 7-Day Cleanse Facebook Group – an awesome group of supportive people, you are missing out on the fun! – we’ve got a great list of our favorites to share with you today.
These are all products that will aid your detoxification, alkalize your body, and/or help you on your journey to get fit. So let’s get started with the first product!
1. Rebounder
Every morning, I get on my rebounder for about 15 to 20 minutes of exercise. It gets my heart rate up and blood pumping. If you’re not familiar with the rebounder, it’s a mini trampoline. NASA did a study and showed that the rebounder is 68% more effective as a cardiovascular exercise and for weight loss compared to running. So the rebounder hands down is the best investment when it comes to working out at home.
These have become a hard to get item in the pandemic because it makes for such an easy and effective at-home workout, but here are a couple that are worth the wait if they can’t ship right away.
We have a Bellicon and Chelsea and I both love it. It’s great for apartment living because it’s quiet enough that downstairs neighbors won’t be bothered by it. Plus, it comes with a handle bar (and lots of other accessory options on the website), which is a nice feature we use a lot. There are also different sizes depending on your space and budget. Bellicons are pricey but definitely worth it.
The Fit Bounce Pro is a more affordable option available on Amazon and it’s recommended in the Get Off Your Acid Cleanse Facebook group. It’s small in size but one cool thing about it is that it actually folds up for easy storage when you’re not using it.
2. Chi Machine.
This product is awesome! The Original Sun Ancon Chi Machine is a therapeutic massage machine that gently rocks the body, stimulating blood flow to the lungs at a cellular level, correcting spinal misalignment, boosting the immune system, and exercising internal organs, which actually stimulates blood production! These are benefits that could help us all to stay healthy right now.
3. Blender
It’s hard to get alkaline without a good blender. And Vitamix makes the best. You really want to find a variable speed blender, which all of theirs are, so you can both chop raw veggies and also combine without breaking up delicate ingredients like chia seeds. Depending on which model you get, you can even use Vitamix to make your own nut butters and green juices. Pretty amazing!
People like Ninja blenders too for their convenience when making single-serving smoothies.
4. Probiotics
We get asked for brand recommendations for probiotics all the time, but the truth is, it depends on when you ask! In our house, we rotate between different high-quality probiotics 4 times each year so our bodies don’t get too used to any one type of bacteria. It’s a good idea to switch it up.
But always, always, go for quality, even if it means paying more. There’s a lot of bad probiotics out there that will make your tummy troubles WORSE, not better. So find a refrigerated brand to start with and rotate occasionally. If you’re on the hunt, Klaire Labs makes a great one to start with.
5. Cold-Press Juicer
There’s nothing more powerful to reset your health than juicing.
You know the saying: you get what you pay for. There are a lot of inexpensive juicers out there, but they cause a bit of degradation in the juice and so the juice won’t last as long. If you’re okay with having to drink the juice right away, that’s fine.
But for most people, taking your juice on the go to work, the gym, or out and about makes the convenience factor worth investing a little more. You’ll have a longer time to drink juice from a good cold-press juicer. It will stay longer in your refrigerator if you put it in an airtight container and you can reap the benefits for it at least a couple of days.
The two cold-press juicer brands I recommend are Hurom – this is a great single gear slow-press juicer – and Kuvings is another really good one because it has a wide mouth at the top and you can actually fit larger pieces in it. Hurom is the one I have at home but both are great.
6. The Hydrogen Water Machine (& Everything from Synergy Science)
Molecular Hydrogen is extremely powerful as an antioxidant with the ability to reverse cell damage from the inside out. In addition to being a tiny, inert gas, it’s also one of my favorite supplements.
When dissolved in your water, Molecular Hydrogen can transform typical water into an antioxidant powerhouse. It fights the inflammatory free radicals that are responsible for premature aging, and even chronic diseases such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and Alzheimer’s disease.
Synergy Science created the only system that produces alkaline pH water with hydrogen in one machine. They have units that can fit under the counter or sit conveniently on the counter, and installation is free. The unit I have is the Echo 9 Under Sink System with Digital Faucet.
That said, all of the products from Synergy Science are cutting-edge and really powerful. They have an awesome infrared sauna, and they also have several electromagnetic field guards to protect you from the electronic devices in your home. Check out the Qi line of products on their website.
Now, if these products are beyond your budget, there are also molecular hydrogen tablets and drops in their online store that you can add to your water, giving you 1.5 ppm of molecular hydrogen at a lower cost.
7. Veggie Spiralizer
This recommendation is low stakes. If you don’t like it, you can try another affordable one pretty easily. But we get asked so I wanted to share what we have nonetheless. The Spiralizer brand is available on Amazon, and this one comes with 7 different styles and thicknesses. It has held up well to all of the use it gets in our house, which is A LOT. For around $30, you can’t beat that.
8. Diffuser for Essential Oils
We always have essential oils diffusing both in our home and wellness clinic, and the brand we trust is doTERRA. I highly recommend their oils and diffusers. Here are a few of our favorite of their oil blends: Deep Blue, Breathe, and Adaptiv.
9. Inflammation Test Kit
You may have heard me say that the ratio of inflammatory fats to anti-inflammatory fats, which ideally is 1:1, can easily be 4:1, 10:1, or even 19:1!
