Alkaline Fried “Rice” Recipe by Dr. Daryl

I cannot believe I’ve never shared this recipe with you, outside of the Winter Alkaline Recipes EBook. It’s one of our family favorites, and we eat it probably once every couple of weeks.

If you like fried rice, you’re going to love this alkaline take on it that cooks up quicker than you can order take out and get it delivered. It’s super easy, and totally delicious.

We’ve found this recipe is a great way to use up veggies left over from other recipes, like cabbage, carrots, onion, broccoli, and any other vegetables you love that you want to throw in.

My kids like it topped with diced avocado (see the photo below), but you can top it with Alkaline Hot Sauce or anyway you like.

Give it a try and let me know what you think over on Facebook.

  • ALKALINE FRIED “RICE”
  • Ingredients [Serves 4]
  • 1 head cauliflower
  • 1/2 cup purple cabbage, finely diced
  • 1/4 cup broccoli florets
  • 2 tbsp. coconut oil
  • 2 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1/2 medium onion, finely diced
  • 1/2 cup carrots, finely diced
  • Sea salt (Celtic Grey, Himalayan, or Redmond
Real Salt) to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
3 tbsp. Braggs Liquid Aminos (substitute gluten-free tamari)
  • 1/4 to 1/2 Hass avocado, diced (optional)
  • Dr. Daryl’s Alkaline Hot Sauce (optional) (find recipe here)

Directions

Cut the stem off of the cauliflower head, remove any leaves, place into a food processor, and pulse cauliflower for 30 seconds or so (you want the cauliflower to look like rice).

In a large saucepan or wok, melt coconut oil on a medium to high heat. Add minced garlic and vegetables, sea salt, and black pepper (to taste). Add Braggs Liquid Aminos, mix, and sauté for about 10 to 15 minutes, until vegetables are tender.

As optional toppings, add Dr. Daryl’s Alkaline Hot Sauce and sliced avocado.

“What I like most about Dr. Daryl’s method is that it’s not a ‘diet’ but more of a lifestyle change. There’s no counting calories or limiting portion sizes, only a new awareness of ‘alkaline eating.’ Once you learn the difference between alkaline and acidic ingredients, you will know what to eat and will be able to benefit from keeping this balance in your bodies.
