The Chilled Summer Greens Soup

This light, simple summer soup is shockingly good and calms reflux! It takes minutes to make, flowing with magnesium, and is incredibly refreshing.

It also flips the script on your acid reflux. Here’s the science:

  • Cucumbers + leafy greens → deeply hydrating + alkalizing
  • Celery → supports stomach acid balance (remember: reflux is often triggered by too little stomach acid)
  • Healthy fats (olive oil) → soothe the digestive tract + nourish your brain
  • Magnesium-rich greens → relax the nervous system + support digestion

Translation: less irritation, better digestion, calmer throat and chest.

The Magnesium Connection (Pay attention to this part!)

Magnesium is one of the most overlooked minerals when it comes to reflux.

It helps:

  • Relax the muscles of the digestive tract
  • Support proper stomach emptying
  • Calm the nervous system (stress = reflux trigger)
  • Improve sleep (hello nighttime reflux prevention)

And yet…MOST people are deficient.

Modern soil depletion, stress, sugar, and toxins make it nearly impossible to get enough from food alone. This soup gives you a solid boost, but daily supplementing with Acid-Kicking Magnesium is still needed for optimal health and healing.

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 2 cups filtered water
  • 2 medium cucumbers, chopped
  • ½ bunch leafy greens (kale, spinach, arugula, or Swiss chard)
  • 2 celery stalks
  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice (optional—reduce or omit if highly sensitive to citrus)
  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tsp sea salt (Celtic, Himalayan, or Redmond Real Salt)
  • Black pepper to taste

Optional toppings:

  • Fresh basil
  • Drizzle of olive oil
  • Paprika or cayenne (skip if reflux is flaring)

Directions

  • Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender
  • Blend until smooth and creamy (or your desired texture)
  • Chill before serving
  • Top with fresh herbs or olive oil if desired

That’s it. No cooking. No stress. Just nourishment and refreshment!

Sometimes, the simplest things…are exactly what your body has been asking for.
