3 Simple Health Strategies - Part 4

I will get straight to the point: You do NOT die of old age—you die of inflammation.

Inflammation is the root cause of most mental and physical illnesses. Cancer, depression, heart disease, Alzheimer’s—you name it.

Don’t wait until your body is so clogged with inflammation that it breaks down. Take charge of your health today with these 3 simple health strategies—your current and future self will greatly appreciate it.
Prevention is everything.                 

  • DETOX 
  • Detox like your life depends on it. Because it does.

    Indigestion, heartburn, brain fog, poor sleep, fatigue, weight loss problems, depression, and anxiety are all little signals that your gut is being controlled by inflammation. 

    Our world is more toxic than ever before—from damaging chemicals hidden in foods to beauty products—regular detoxing is now A MUST.

    Every time you put a piece of food in your mouth, you choose to fight disease or fuel it. A healthy, happy future starts with 10 days of intention. You can do it.

  • INVESTIGATE
  • The other day, I was about to buy a seaweed salad, and my “always investigate” mindset still made me check the back of the canister.

    To my utter shock and disgust, Yellow #5 and Blue #1 FOOD DYES were listed, along with other dangerous chemicals and toxins that torment your body with inflammation. Even in something you think should just say “seaweed” on the ingredients list and be totally toxin-free, you always need to check. Seafood without harmful artificial ingredients is super good for you, so please eat it. Just make sure nothing else has been added.          

    Don’t be deceived by front-of-package marketing; always check the back label. To uncover more foods that you *think* are healthy, check out my two-part series—part one and part two.                                                                   

  • SLEEP
  • It’s the most basic thing you can do—and one of the most important. However, it's easier said than done in our hectic, always-in-go-mode world. Just a few things that deep, restorative zzz's will do for you:

    • Regulates your metabolism—AKA: helps you sustainably lose and manage your weight.
    • Reduces mental fatigue and brain fog.
    • Restores your body so your gut health and microbiome are strong enough to fight off illness.
    • A Harvard Health 2022 study discovered, “When sleep is restricted, blood pressure doesn't decline as it should, which could trigger cells in blood vessel walls that activate inflammation.” Less sleep = more inflammation.

    If you seem to never be able to easily hop on the sleep train, Acid-Kicking Magnesium may be your first-class sleeper ticket.
